Incredible modern and well equipped large cottage. Well positioned for amazing views a relaxing peaceful stay. The garden is very large and enclosed and on a couple of levels and very well kept. The interior is well equipped and modern appliances and impeccable decor and warm on a cold day. You couldn’t buy a view that this place has.
Just back from our 5th stay at shorefield cottage. What an amazing place. Fantastic views from the lounge over Lock Harport. Dog friendly with a goood size garden. Comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in. Shorefield sleeps up to six guests across three bedrooms — a king-size en-suite master, a double, and a twin. It’s an ideal size for a family, two couples, or a group of friends looking for a private, exclusive self-catering cottage on the Isle of Skye.
Yes — well-behaved dogs are very welcome at Shorefield. You can bring up to two dogs, at a charge of £25 per dog. With Loch Harport, open hillsides and quiet village lanes right on the doorstep, it’s a wonderful place for them too.
Absolutely — children of all ages are very welcome at Shorefield. The cottage sleeps up to six, making it a great fit for families, and the surrounding area is wonderful for young visitors, from easy coastal walks and wildlife spotting to the sheer magic of Skye’s landscapes. Please note that the cottage does not have dedicated children’s equipment such as a travel cot or highchair, so we’d recommend bringing anything you need for younger children.
Check-in is from 4pm on your arrival Saturday, giving you the full afternoon to settle in and start exploring. Check-out is by 10am on your departure Saturday. All stays run Saturday to Saturday.
Yes, Shorefield has private off-road parking for at least two cars, included as standard with your stay. No need to worry about finding a space — you’re in the Scottish countryside.
Shorefield doesn’t currently have a dedicated EV charging point at the cottage. The nearest public charging facilities are available in the local area — we’d recommend checking the Zap-Map app before your journey to plan your charging stops on the way to Skye and during your stay.
